    La personnalité du Château La Fleur-Pétrus repose sur l'alliance subtile des célèbres terroirs de graves et d'argiles du plateau de Pomerol. Le vignoble, situé entre 33 et 38 mètres d'altitude, puise son identité dans les nuances de sol et d'altitude propres à chaque parcelle. Celles à dominante de graves tendent à produire des vins d'une grande élégance, tandis que celles à dominante argileuse donnent des vins au caractère nettement velouté, dense et structuré.

    Owner and history

    The La Fleur-Pétrus vineyard covers 18 hectares within the Pomerol appellation. Its soil is composed of gravel and clay. The vineyard is planted with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.

    Vinification and aging

    The winemaking process is carried out traditionally in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete vats. The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine is aged for 16-18 months in oak barrels (50% new).

    Le style du 2021 se distingue par une trame classique bordelaise, très raffinée et sans excès de richesse. Un vin doté d'un bel équilibre qui traversera facilement les décennies. Son apogée se situera entre 2028 et 2045+.
