THE Brut Millésimé 2018 The Deutz house is the classic and balanced expression of the style of the house of Aÿ, restoring the generosity and solar maturity of the year 2018 while retaining the chalky tension and straightness that characterize its winemaking.
In Champagne, 2018 was an early year, remarkably warm and generous in both volume and phenolic maturity. Where some champagnes may have suffered from a slight lack of freshness, Deutz has managed to preserve a true backbone thanks to its dominance of great Pinot Noir grapes from the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne.associated with the finely crafted Chardonnays of the Côte des Blancs.

Tasting notes
The wine, a luminous gold, is enlivened by a fine and persistent effervescence. The nose reveals a sun-drenched world: mirabelle plum, apricot, and ripe peach are enriched with subtle spicy and smoky nuances. The fresh attack reveals a beautiful concentration of yellow fruits, supported by a full and harmonious structure. The texture gains depth, leading to a clean and persistent finish that reveals all the finesse of the Grands Crus.

The team's opinion
The 2018 vintage stands out for its beautiful harmony between rich, rounded character and refreshing crispness. Particularly approachable and expressive upon release thanks to its roundness, it will improve harmoniously over 6 to 10 years (2025–2034), developing aromas of dried fruit and quince paste.
